Is anyone else having trouble viewing posts in the job information journal (http://www.eslcafe.com/jobinfo)?

Nine times out of ten it always goes to a cannot be displayed page once I select a post. I have to click the Back button numerous times before eventually I may get lucky and the post displays itself.

Now I am not computer illiterate so it isn't something overly obvious that I may be missing (I hope so anyway ). I use IE 6.0 as my default browser, but have also used Mozilla Firefox to see if it was a browser compatitbility problem. The same thing happens though, except with Firefox nothing happens (no page cannot be found page).

Is there anyone that has had the same problem before and can help me to be able to view all the posts in the journal? I'd really like to have a good read through them.

If anyone is having similiar troubles in trying to view the Job Information Journal or this has been documented before, I'd love to know how to fix it so I can read the entries.

Sorry, mate, but the Job Information Journal looks okay to me. And I got in using both Mozilla and IE. I don't recall anyone mentioning any problems with it recently (not counting the Great Blackout of several weeks ago when the whole site was messed up).

Why not PM the mods and ask them about it directly since they don't seem to have noticed this thread yet?

Ok thanks for the advice, I will do that.

I notice all the links in the journal are cgi related, perhaps I have something in my internet options ticked or unticked which is disabling my ability to view the links??? It wouldn't be a firewall problem so thats why I am a bit perplexed why I can't view anything from that section of the site while the rest of Dave's ESL Cafe works fine (ie: these forums).

I emailed Dave just yesterday about the same problem. Within nanoseconds he resolved it ... what service!

Anyway, the problem was my Norton firewall. I bet you have one too? Try disactivating it while the page is loading. I know it's a pain, but it does work!

Thanks a lot, that did the trick. I just disabled Norton Internet Security and it works a charm, I have just got to remember to turn it back on when I finish looking at the journal entires so I don't get some virus later on down the track
