Has anyone worked for the public schools out there. Through any program but in particular the International personal training center through Ray.

Almost all of the schools in Shenzhen use an agent. I did walk around to various schools asking to get a direct hire but was told they could not hire me because of the government. Since Shenzhen is a desirable city there are little benefits they wanted me to do Office hours at most but I generally didn't stay or moved the next term. Work load varies, can be from 8 hrs to 20 hrs. The students are not as advanced as I assumed since I was coming from a village.

All meals are provided at most places except dinner. They do not have many activities and you are normally the only teacher at the school unless it is a higher ranked school. One thing I hated was the schools wanted to portray they were international but they had no resources and they never followed through with any changes. This would be great but they held you to high standards you cannot maintain without the support.

I have worked at other Public schools in china and it was relaxed with no expectations. They were willing to assist with anything I needed and were not micromanaging everything I did.

Varies. Some schools or agents pay low and others pay high. Different offers out there. Keep in mind the agents get a high amount of money for you. Some try to keep a chunk of it for themselves and try to lowball you. Others pay you what you're worth. If you have any experience, don't accept less than 15 or 16 K for a Tier One City and the right to choose your own apartment. If you have no experience and want to get lowballed for 8 or 9,000 rmb and some crappy campus housing, you make sure you get some concession in return such as no office hours and your classes compressed into less days. Some public jobs do exist in China like that.
