Um, slightly misleading subject line - since two were shot AT, but only one was wounded (unspecified).

Regards,
John

Not really.... there does seem to be an uptick in violence directed towards Westerners. That is what I suspect the OP wanted to convey in posting the link. Does it mean a return to the kind of attacks that experienced in the early 2000's, probably not.

A major Islamist insurgency right next door, one of the most dysfunctional countries in existence and probably the dumbest population on the face of the earth. It's going to be getting worse for some time.
When I was walking down Khurais road in Riyadh, one of those small white pick up trucks with the lines on the side that you see everywhere drove past. An idiot inside wrapped his checkered headdress around his face like an ISIS insurgent. There is a huge reservoir of people just like that guy sitting in Saudi Arabia. Just simply put together the pieces.

Dear LPKSA,

I guess someone must have peed in yours since you seem so touchy over my pointing out a mistake that's pretty obvious.

But then, while I've been both shot and shot at, I doubt you've had those experiences.

Regards,
John

Dear LPKSA.

My, another long-distance hero. Please reply when you figure out the difference between being shot and being shot at.

Regards,
John

I've seen - and made - some nasty comments in my time on Dave's, but that one was below the belt. John is a gentleman and an asset to the forums.

Fortunately it mainly reflects back on the person who said it... and clearly shows his lack of class, maturity, and intelligence.
