I've been to Tunisia three times. The only rule is that you cannot take out Tunisian dinars legally. The rest is fine.

I can answer that. The students are mature, willing and intelligent. However, you absolutely can't take money out, you can't send it to an account abroad because Western Union and Moneygram can only receive funds, and you can't change your dinars at the airport, although every one says you can, and probably not in any real countries if you hide them in your socks until you are abroad.

So once you and your socks are outside the country, is there anything to do with the cash? Can you buy any other currency with Tunisian dinar, anywhere?

As I've said, probably not. I don't know of any.

Why are you posting this on the Saudi Arabia board. Go over to the Africa board where the few teachers might post.

If you want North Africa, go to Morocco... and ask any questions over on the Africa board.
