I thought for sure this was a joke but after reading the thread about the IQ Test requirement, I am not so sure. Hey Jelly Roll, I think this may be your China dream girl! http://eslwatch.info/forum/china/76-china-foreign-teachers-unite-report-fake-unqualified-teachers-to-the-psb.html

So while your room-mate is busy enjoying sex with a variety of young Chinese women in his room, you're busy in your recliner keeping us updated with the latest spam. Carry on with the good life there lostandfound. Laughing

I wonder if they pay the Chinese the same amount? If so, then China may lose half of all its foreign teachers!

First I would wonder how anyone would come across any information that could be used to indite and collect.

Secondly, I would wonder what would be used administratively to vet the information given by the "RAT".

Third and most important, any chinee who was in a postition to know anything about a FT would only hurt themselves or their work unit; possibly raising the dander of their employer.

I know my last company who I detest intensely has a hell of a reputation for employing teachers on tourist visas.

LAF:

Are all of the recent posts about this FT bounty that appear on every ESL forum yours?

I wonder if it would be more beneficial to publish the names and ip address(es) of those who have disrupted almost ever ESL forum on the internet.

What is the agenda behind all this? To encourage reporting, or to scare potential illegals away. The best tactic is prevention.

There has been enough of such talk in this forum for the past two years, so your propaganda is no longer needed. Message received. Over and out.

Please go somewhere else.

Google " illegal foreign teachers in China" and count the number of entries on just page one.

I don't read many ESL boards. I'm sorry that my investigation upset you. Crying or Very sad

It's not so much the FT's who are newbies, and who are being openly - an covertly - scammed by scum recruiters - China needs to deal with the illegal recruiter problem - many newbies know nothing of the legalities in China and believe every lie that is fed to them - the newbies get thrown in jail with massive fines/deportation, and the scam recruiters get away scot free.
Yeah, I know, stupidity is not an excuse, but heck, I've been inundated with scam offers for the past 3 months, especially from scumbags who send "agency" contracts to sign - we all know who THESE are in Hangzhou - the issues in Beijing and Shanghai are so much worse.

My rule now is to speak ONLY with the FAO of the school. Do NOT deal with recruiters - ever.

On the other hand, I've known several "teachers" who openly bragged about having fake degrees bought online for 200 bucks - most of which are fake schools/academies in Nevada and Arizona - and I would have absolutely no problem in reporting these "teachers" to every Chinese authority available - actually, any country in the world.
No 'bounty' required for that one.

My rule now is to speak ONLY with the FAO of the school.

Unless you are in-country and can visit the school and MEET the FA Officer, you can never be sure to whom you are speaking. Only once did I contact a school directly and actually speak with someone in the FAO. Every other time, I spoke to an intermediary (i.e., a recruiter) who referred me to someone else who sent me a contract.

There is one recruiter from Australia who will put you in touch with someone at the school. I haven't dealt with them in awhile.

Here is the definition of an "opportunist":

If this guy carries through with his plan what percentage of China's foreign teacher population is about to "relocate"?
