|
|
I'm currently in Japan on the JET Programme. (Japan Exchange & Teaching). In the next year or so I'd like to visit Germany. I've been interested in the language and culture for some time now and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any job programs like JET (if indeed you are familiar with JET) taking place in Germany that I could apply for after my time in Japan.
A brief synopsis of JET (for those who are unfamiliar):
selection of teachers through an application/interview process
Work as an Assistant Language Teacher (of English)
stay for 1 to 5 years (aka temporary)
set yearly salary
If there is any kind of Teaching English program like this (doesn't have to be exact) in Germany, I'd love to learn more about it!!!
Thank you for any feedback! |

No, there is no JET-type program here in Germany. If there was, I'd probably know about it. If someone actually did something like this, I'd be curious about the program. |

Thanks, Scot, for the info. So there is apparently a program. Well, good luck to you, Quartney. |

Thanks for the feedback Scot! This is a great link! Unfortunately I don't have a UK passport, but this will help me with my research in the future!
Thanks again! |

Actually, not very likely that a BC program will be open to a non-UK national.
Otherwise, JN is correct that there are few (if any) JET type programs for Germany. It's a VERY different job market to Asia. |

Aww, I see! Thanks for the insight, Spiral! I was able to find something via Fulbright and InterExhange, albeit a bit different from JET. I'm excited nonetheless! |

If you are American you can apply through Fullbright. |
