Hey I got to know my Lebanese grocer, and he's a really great guy! Now I'm thinking of going over there to teach. Is Lebanon near Saudi Arabia or Iraq? Because I really don't want to go there. I'm thinking it's near that Kurdish place, what's it called? Mosul?

Quite close to a place called Megido, better known in the West as "Armageddon".

Seriously, a quick check on the Internet will show you where Lebanon is located.

Regardless, there rarely are ads for EFL teachers from abroad because the country produces its own capable teachers.

Uh, guys - could be wrong, but I strongly suspect this is a spoof.

At least I HOPE it is. Very Happy

Dear johnslat:
I dunno why you think so.
I mean, I have a Lebanese grocer too, and he's also a great guy.
What are the chances? It must be fate.
Now, I must gather my things, wish my family and friends farewell, and head to Lebanon to offer my services as a native speaker of English.

No, I think it's closer to China or Japan. Oh, wait, no, it's in Ohio.

Or it's in Pennsylvania... Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Not too far from Jordan, Minnesota, and Egypt, Arkansas. Shocked
