15k seems pretty high to be paying for rent, I'm sure you can find something cheaper.

I don't live in a big city, but I have about 60% of my salary left after paying rent (utilities), health and social insurance. I am not including the money I get from private lessons, because those are not always reliable.

I have heaps leftover.

My rent is 6 thousand a month and I budget myself 2000 a week for food and day-to-day things e.g. social activities, gym, classes

I always have money leftover within that budget.

Curious what kind of accommodation you have for 6,000. That's quite low.

Say you are earning 30k with privates etc.
I guess after rent and basic expenses etc very few would be left with 10k at the end of the month, cc $5000 a year savings. Czech / Prague is not worth it for the money, only as experience to live in a historical city.

Just read an onlne survey last week and amazingly 29% of people surevyed in Czech Republic considerd themsleves very rich if they had 1,000,000Kc, thats about 40,000 USD. Makes you wonder.
