There is an advert on TESOL.org for instructors at the apparently dual named Al Bayan University / Al Bayan Colleges in Medina.
I can't seem to find any info here in the Saudi forum, but there is a fairly negative thread in the Oman forum about a private institution called Al Bayan University College. Is there a connection?
If not, does anyone have information on Al Bayan in Medina?
Thanks.

I have no knowledge of this college. I see that their website is about as vague as their job posting. Not a good impression if they're trying to appeal to native-speaking job applicants. It's also odd their website includes a stock image of shadowed figures of women in skirts above the knees standing with men. And this college is in Madina. |

Hi,
Al Bayan Colleges in KSA has nothing to do with the one in Oman. To be working in Medinah, one has to be Muslim, as the college is inside the Haram borders. Here is their website: http://www.albayancolleges.edu.sa/EN/employment.html |

Except for the sole architect's fabricated image used throughout their website, it seems nothing's changed from my comments a year ago. There's still canned and rather vague infomation about the place on the site. Plus, it lacks a presence (i.e., no names of leadership, department heads, etc.), which, frankly, is inexcusable for a place that supposedly has been open for more than a year. Anyway, those selected for an interview need to ask the right kinds of questions and not be passive. |

Good money but huge amount of work even at home. Know several pple working there. Teachers have to design themselves the curriculum, the exams, etc. (no dedicated unit in charge of that). |

Oh dear. Thanks for the information.
I hope this is only because it is fairly new. I hope that can be fixed over the years.. |
