If the school is in Wong Tai Sin, will Tuen Mun be too far away to live? In terms of travel time - is it 30mins? 1 hour?
I am also seeking information on St Margarets School in West Kowloon ... is English the main language of instruction?

Hi,
I'm a NET living and working in Tuen Mun. To travel from here to WTS, your best bet would be a combination of the new West Rail (assuming you live near one the stations in TM) and the MTR from Mei Foo. Minimum travel time would be 1hr 15mins.
Why do you want to live in Tuen Mun? |

your actual geographic location is not all that important, it is the traffic links. I can be at one school many miles away in the same time as it takes me to get to one a relatively short distance away, just because of the nature of the links. West Kowloon i s a big place! If you are more specific on the location maybe we can help with some ideas. |

depends on your budget too..how much do you want to spend? live alone? roommate?!
a nice area is kowloon tong.....(but a but pricey)....
for a larger, and cheaper place, you coudl consider living in the New Territories.....(Shatin..?) which isn't far from Wong Tai Sin..(maybe 15-20 minutes by KCR/MTR)...
i'm considering moving (from Sham Tseng...just outside of Tsuen Wan - last stop on the red line), to Olympic. (Both my schools are in Tsuen Wan)Olympic is not a crazy area, but close access to all the craziness! |

Why are you unable to get yourself a map, or simply conduct a web search? Ma On Shan is in Kowloon, fairly close to the 'border' with the NT. Use:
http://www.ypmap.com/en/viewer.asp?mapService=LocationMap
You can conduct a search by street name. |
