Is taking an online certificate in teaching international languages of use with a university?

My friend who took the same Arabic language program as me over seas considers what we studied before to be a BA Associate (though I am not sure about that and I don't know how to find out). |

I'm in Alberta myself and I don't know anyone who has this certificate. Certain pockets of Alberta are very big on "heritage languages" (Ukrainian, German, Polish) due to the cluster of certain populations from farm immigration. Although advertised as an international certificate, I do not think it is an option anyone will have heard of.
I suppose this really depends on the location, but I don't think it would fly out here in Canada (it may be a bonus for certain elementary teachers). |
