Does this apply in YOUR case, or did you just "hear" this from "somebody"??
Because, according the KSA Embassy website in DC,
"Notes:
•Visitors should not overstay the time granted on the visa.
•Business visas do not grant the applicant the right to work or to reside in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
•Visitors to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must abide by the country’s Islamic laws and regulations and respect its society’s values and traditions."

Yeah, I did.
It says: Business visas are issued to: businessmen, investors, representatives of U.S. companies, managers, sales managers, sales representatives, etc.
Now look at what I sent in my last: It says:
•Business visas do not grant the applicant the right to work or to reside in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
I repeat what I said in my last:
This information appears to completely contradict what you're saying.
You - cannot - work - in -KSA - with - a - business - visa -even - if - you -are - working - for - a - military - contractor.
What part of this don't you get? |

Your original statement was: Of course you can work in KSA on a business visa if you're going with one of the military contractors. Your employer is a foreign entity.
This remains totally untrue. Unless you have personally been in that situation ("I heard that..." or "Someone told me that..." doesn't count), your statement is a complete distortion of the facts and is grossly misinformed. I assure you that no ESL teacher is working and residing at Vinnell in Riyadh on a "business visa".
(One can, of course, "work" in KSA on a "business/visit" visa as an ESL teacher. Many have admitted that they are under that status. But the fact remains it is illegal. No military contractor (your origianl example) is going to have a teacher coming here to work illegally).
All my statements assume a "legal" status for the employee. I have no idea what is "illegal" or what the circumstances or consequences may be for someone working "illegally". |

I worked on a visit visa for 6 months with a US military contractor. After that I returned to the US and they were able to get me a proper work visa.
Is it illegal? Yes it seems so.
Do they do it anyway? Yes they certainly do, including US companies in Saudi.
*** Any news on Booz Allen *** They are advertising again.
Will they get to stay on for the remaining 2 years of their contract?
I have heard a lot of rumors...anyone on the inside have any information they can share? |
