It seems that the good times have rolled on by and now I spend my days lonely and wishing I had friends to talk to and share things with, maybe a party or BBQ to look forward to or a night on the town.
Hmmm. Sure doesn't make things any better when I find that the only contact I have with foreigners these days comes in the form of put downs and negativity from know-it-alls on the net.
I sometimes wonder how I would get on with some of the folks on this forum in person. I have a feeling that they are the ones who never acknowledge other foreigners in passing on the street, stations and trains. I suppose they are turning Japanese, I really think so.

I found myself becoming like that...talking about foreigners on the street, etc, etc. Stuff I would never do at home. Why? Because I was dissatisfied with my own life...it seemed like everyone there was trying to turn things into one big competition, but it's the individual's choice on whether or not to play that game. I refused to play anymore, so I left. I don't talk about people anymore on the street, and as far as I can tell, they don't talk about me either. Hell where I live most of the folks are just trying to make a buck and feed their children...there is no time for that.
Some of you may say 'oh that's sweet Chi-Chi, whatever.' But there's an urban legend I want to share. There was once ONE man who tried to get others to hate their own race. He said that everything was the fault of their own race. He could not accomplish his goal, even though he was in a position of power. People laughed at him. Then those same people went to a boot camp where they were told-by almost everyone-that their own race was bad. Those same people started to buy it, hook line and sinker.
Just an urban legend I thought I'd share. The pull of fitting in is very powerful, even when it comes to hating yourself.
Being part German, I used to wonder how World War II happened...thinking about this Urban Legend gives me the answer. Hitler would have been laughed at, had he been alone. He knew this and used OTHERS as a GROUP to convince people of what he thought they needed convincing.
I must go. I have an interview at a hip-hop shop now. And I'm wearing a cute denim skirt to it. Wish me luck, ya'll.
