Can anybody recommend some good language schools in the cities mentioned above? We are currently working in northern Spain and earning 1300 net/month for 25 hours Mon-Fri.
We would like to avoid split shifts if possible as we have 2 young children so this makes things difficult with pre-school etc...
Also, a school which offers full Spanish social security in their contracts is important to us.
Any schools to avoid would also be appreciated.
Thank you |

Eli (www.eli.es) is very big in Seville. I have no personal connection or knowledge of it, though I have met people who have worked there (seemed happy).
In Seville, you have IH (who are also in Cadiz). I've been to both of those and know people who work or worked in the latter. Both nice buildings (Seville especially), but can't tell you anything much about the working conditions.
IH Seville also has its own teacher training centre, which I've always found to be a plus for a school: they tend to care more about your professional development.
In language schools in Spain generally, timetables do tend to be a nightmare if you have young children. You're teaching teens mid-afternoon while your own small children require you at home. |

Spainwise.net has quite a few good schools listed for AndalucĂa.
The British Institute in Seville pays well and is quite highly regarded. There's a lot of work in Seville generally, you can afford to be fussy and push for better wages than you're getting, or fewer hours.
IH Cordoba also pays well and is very highly regarded, Ive heard. A friend enjoyed working there.
Cover work might be possible with ELI, now is the time to get your foot in the door. |
