I know that during JET interviews, they might ask you to do a demo lesson on the spot. Do any of the dispatch agencies or private English schools ask for demo lessons? If yes, do they usually provide topics to choose from or do we choose our own topics? Also, do they ever ask you to teach a grammar point? Thanks in advance!

Depends on the school, but yes to all of those at various times.

If we are applying from abroad, does that mean we have to send a demo lesson video? Or do they prefer to watch it live via skype or something? Do you remember how long the lesson had to be?

This kind of thing varies quite a bit among employers. It should be clarified in the application process, but it isn't always.

I had to do it for dispatch and for a high school.
Usually you should be told in advance.
The dispatch one was harder as I did not know beforehand what it would be and I was given some time to prepare.

Sometimes it could just be an interview if the people doing the interview just have time for that.
