When I left for Japanto teach English, the price for the Health Check was around $350. Granted, that was 2005 Now I'm re-deploying to KSA, and the quote is $800-$1,200. Wh-wh-what? When did it become necessary to get a full body scan to teach English, and why is it so expensive?

Would love to read your thoughts, and advice, particularly if you have any provider recommendations. (DC/VA area).

Excuse my tone.....just around $1K seems awfully expensive. We're English teachers, for goodness sake!

A proper contract and/or school will reimburse you. Caveat: don't work for Laureate. They told me I would be reimbursed, and then 'lost' my receipts.

I responded to your similar question in the Saudi forum with info about reducing those costs.
