I have personal items that I can't store -- guitars and other musical instruments. All told, about 2 cubic metres. Is it hard getting stuff into the country? Coming from China, where I live now.

I know one teacher who shipped her entire household contents from England to Oman. She had some problems but an Omani helped her at the customs warehouse and she got her stuff eventually. It cost quite a bit in both legitimate and brown envelope money to get it done. Don't know if it would be any different coming from China but can't see why it should be.
