Hi, MixtecaMike
If you had given them a photocopy and not the original would they have stamped that?
I really dont want my degree messed up with a stamp. I might even laminate it lol or get a replacement from the university, think it costs £40.00 |
I laminated my transcript but it still got stapled, lol. I think you can get an attested photocopy and that will do the job, but they might still want to see the original. If you're able to get another copy from the Uni that would be a good idea, mine only offered a replacement if I had a police report that the original was lost or destroyed. |

My original documents including my diploma did not get stapled or stamped by the HR rep where I worked---they were simply photocopied and handed back to me with a smile and a thank you. (HR was staffed by some of the nicest women.) Plus, I had brought an extra color copy of the stamped photocopy of my diploma to give them for my file.
Anyway, don't fret about what you think may happen to your documents. Have some paperclips handy if you're concerned your docs will get stapled. |

This has been an informative thread. I have a question that I hope someone could answer for me.
I work for one of the TVTC Colleges in Al Wajh. I was originally brought in on a business visa and my contract is finishing this summer. They want me to return but on a work visa which is switched to an igama.
When I interviewed with them nearly a year ago, I told them that my Masters degree was done online and they said it wouldn't be a problem. My MA is in ESOL.
However, I am worried about getting a work visa because I am not sure i am qualified to get one.
My BA is in Journalism
My MA is in ESOL (online)
I have ten years of experience (which are all verified with letters of reference and experience with the details and contact numbers in the letters).
My company wants to renew me for a second year.
Will I be denied a work visa?
I apologize for hijacking the thread.
Cheers,
Murray |

I think you mean which is best regarded by employers. Anyway, as I stated in my initial post, employers want to see a TEFL-related MA or PhD/EdD (completed on campus). Take a look at ads for the better (direct-hire) employers and use the required qualifications indicated as a guide to what you credentials/qualifications you should have. (Refer back to my third post in this thread, in which I listed the requirements from actual job ads for direct hires.) |
