What sort of mobile plans are available nationally in the Ukraine? Do they come with internet data?

Probably easiest for foreigners to get a sim card - prepaid job. You get different deals from different operators, but not much to choose between them. I use Kyivstar. I use my phone a lot for messaging and internet use and it doesn't seem to need topping up too often.
Also, you can select different tariffs to suit by calling a special number that you will receive. If you have language problems, ask a friend or student to help you set it up.
