As for the questions regarding my age I am 48 and white bread American with a certain George Clooney like sex appeal. I think the only place I am hitting blatant age discrimination at this point is when I have dealt directly with Japanese and Korean online schools, which is pretty well known. I do think 48 is the last year of your life that you can apply directly to Aramco if so inclined.

As for the two TEFL's, the resume shows 100 hours and 50 hours for the Business English respectively. It mentions that they are accredited and no mention of them being online.

As for my experience, before I went "nomadic" my experience consisted of two jobs in the PRC teaching three years at a private school for adults, and then three years A level Business, Economics and IELTS prep to high school students.

I think I was being more self deprecating than arrogant about the "pond scum" comments.

I still keep in touch with the head manager of my former employer in Saudi. But I would prefer a different employer, or none at all, to keep it at that.

As for Medellin, I just spent a nice working vacation there and felt very safe. The country, and the city in particular, have turned around dramatically since 2002. Tourism and expats have been increasing, particularly over the last few years. Yet most people still associate the country with instant kidnapping, car bombs etc. Hence they miss out on a city with year round spring weather, great culture and nightlife, reasonable cost of living, and some good people (with the female half comprised of a fair amount of stunners).

People told me not to go to Saudi as I would end up blown to bits. Of course, I was infinitely more likely to be run over by some young Saudis out drifting. And of course, there are never bombs in America nor other forms of violence in America.

Anyways, some good feedback for which I am appreciative.
