Has anyone ever had experience changing jobs while in the kingdom. If so, I would like to hear your experience. As has been mentioned on this forum, one is usually bound to the sponsoring company once you arrive. I would be nice to hear how, why, or when you changed jobs. Thanks! |

The company you work for has to release you from your Iqama before it expires. Most employers refuse to do that. If a company releases one indentured servant, every other indentured servant will be looking for a better job. Most employees have to return home for another employment visa. |

Changing jobs in terms of being released from your Iqama so that you may return home to re-apply for a new visa with a new company (or waiting out the contract / iqama) is fairly common.
The less talked about version is where one resigns without notice (or little notice / or to the foreboding of the employer) and attempts to return home in order to change jobs tout de suite.
I believe such realities cannot be discussed openly here and must be reserved for PMs. |
