It was the shoe actually, as no locals were present. One of those meetings
that teachers dread where a manager gathers the assembled to deliver
the latest, late- season edict. This one centered on attrition, or is it
redundancy? Good thing the word dunce is in there as the old polytech
over- hired just weeks before announcing the virtual closing of the
program. This would be of little note here (nor long remembered)
but it is one of those contracts with higher remuneration, lower
expectations, and a news black out the past years. Oh and a
"war" in the background to add romantic intrigue and an elevated stress level. I will go into more detail later
if any one even remotely cares....
Glad to be going home to the bosom of
my family in a few days!! |
