Folks,
First let me say I tried and tried to do a search for this information in the forum here, and the search feature was not working. I also looked at a lot of posts and didn't see anything pertaining to my query. Having said that, if this has been gone over before, I'm sorry.
I am looking for information about a school called "English For You" which is located in Nagano City, 380-0822. Anyone ever work there, heard anything about them, etc? They don't seem to have a website available.
Thanks for any information you might have.
Cheers,
Michael |

Here's a Japanese website for them. Not sure if they have an English version. Highly sought after place for snowboarders because of its location in Nagano, but not so much for the quality of the job according to people I know who work/have worked there.

Faleminderit!
This is exactly what I needed to see. I even had a nice long Skype chat with them and I didn't suspect anything, well, suspect was going on, but after spending a lot of time and effort on a "school" in Spain that turned out to be a scam, I just wanted to be sure.
Yes, the skiing is a huge perk. I don't think I would be so excited about going without it. I spent some time living up in the mountains back in Colorado, working at a ski resort and loved it. I truly cannot get enough slope time. However, 3 broken ribs, a twisted hip, shoulder, neck, and elbow were a price to pay.
This might be a culture shock, moving from Albania to Japan. |

It was like working at a call centre... avoid at all costs unless you like to be told what to think... 197 page BASIC training manual... part of the Pacific Language School system. I would rather be attacked by wild monkeys than work there or any of the PLS schools.... seriously... angry, wild monkeys. |

I'm guessing you are posting this for others' benefit? The original thread is way old. |
