I might join KSAU-HS Jeddah in the mid of august, although i am aware of the basic job requirements i wanted to know from someone who works there, about what are the daily set of duties. How is the work environment in female campus? Since i will be joining that. What to expect when I arrive in Jeddah. I wanted to avail the housing allowance rather than to accept accommodation but now i came to know that one has to pay annual rent in advance in Jeddah and that would be kind of difficult. I wanted to know what the offices are like? do teachers get separate offices? How many classes do teachers take? And what do they do beside taking classes.
I would be arriving with my husband and a kid. How is the accomodation that they offer to the families. and besides what do i need to add in my packing list. |

Although the position you're interested in is for Assistant Professor teaching an academic subject and not as an EFL teacher, some of the info posted in "King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Science Jeddah" (http://forums.eslcafe.com/job/viewtopic.php?t=110993) may apply. Your other questions about what it's like to teach on the academic side of KSAU-HS should be reserved for your interview or your HR contact person (if you've already been extended an offer).
In terms of what to pack, see "Customs: What you can bring vs. leave at home" (http://forums.eslcafe.com/job/viewtopic.php?t=107959). |
