Well I am not sure, we're given materials to prepare 2 lesson plans for fictional classes and wait to be called for an interview. I have already gone through quite extensive and probing one by the recruiter. I am bit puzzled by all these new regulations.I am told not to worry too much about it. But again this is Saudi. I have 3 month probation period to think about . Having said that the recruiter is beating all my expectations.I hope they will keep it up. We gona count the chickens in autumn. |

| I am quickly learning Saudi attitude that is do what you can do even if it means as little as possible then hope for the best from God. |

What new regulations? You need to find out why you were allegedly "hired" (on a business visit visa) yet are having to go through another round of interviews in KSA. This isn't the norm for Saudi employment, although I suspect ICEAT is trying to determine if/where you'd be assigned. Also, if you want to post more about your experience, consider creating a separate ICEAT thread or adding to an existing one since this thread is for Al Hussan.

You'll hear "insh'allah" a lot throughout the Middle East and not just from Saudis. By the way, you might read the thread on Ramadan, which is to start in about a week. |

| I was told about the second interview before I got the offer. If you know the basic Arabic on my visa it is stated as " al gharadh : lil amal ladaa ash sharikah ....." , which means : purpose of this visa is to work for the company so and so. Business visa is not extendable within Saudi, God knows best as the Saudis say for anything they are not sure. |

| So you've completed the long-winded employment/work visa process with ICEAT indicated as your employer. However, this is the first time anyone on this forum has ever mentioned going through a second interview once they've arrived in country. It's possibly specific to your employer and not Al Hussan, EdEx, and the rest. |

Hopefully it's not the norm.
Any Al Hussan employees gone through the same process? |

I've had an email from Britannia consular sevices in London to sort out my visa. They are asking for a payment of £500 for their services and a medical. They've said I'll be reimbursed on first salary.
Is this the norm? Anyone else had to do this. I'm dubious about handing money over. Already been scammed once by someone asking for money for a job, so I walked away. Would be absolutely gutted if it had happened again.
Still haven't had my contract from Al hussan anyway so can't sort visa out yet.
Has anyone actually got to saudi yet? Juwt wondering what the accommodation is like. |

Don't worry, this is all legit. I went there yesterday to sort my visa out. They have everyone's contract there and send you off for a medical in Harley St. It's a very slick operation - you'll have your visa in about a week. |

| Britannia must be raking the money in. I used them in 2012 and they only charged around 80 pounds for the visa process (I did the medical through my GP which was 40 pounds). The next year the prices shot up for some reason. |

King Saud University will interview before you start working once you've arrived with your visa.
This is whether you work for EdEx, ICEAT, or Al Hussan. This is KSU's requirement whether your recruiter has told you or not. It's a relatively new requirement, someone who started at KSU at couple of years ago may not have had to do it. |

Spot on.
Britannia visa services in London are pretty overpriced...I'm sure there are cheaper places in London that do the same thing! |

I agree with this to an extent - I've found that Saudis say it FAR more than most other Arabic speaking nationalities, even Kuwaitis don't say it as much as Saudis do.
But then what do I know... |

What's the thinking behind this? I imagine it's more to do with addressing any potential problems with your teaching practice rather than to decide whether or not to hire the teachers they have already brought into the country. |

Hi,
Has anyone recently received a pre-contract from Hussan? If so, when did you receive it and how long did it take for the visa process to complete after signing the pre-contract?
Last question to those who already got visa from Hussan... do Hussan book your flights or do we have to book our own flights? |
