Better yet, register and post on one or more of the UAE's popular expat sites, which reach a much wider member base and cover a multitude of work and lifestyle topics. In fact, you may find your Abu Dhabi questions have already been addressed. Do an Internet search on expat abu dhabi forum.
Also, check if your employer has a facebook page and/or new employee handbook. |

Neither am I, and I've used a variety of expat sites to get useful answers to my questions. There are forums for Brits, Canadians, women, etc.---it's a no brainer as long as one is clear about what they're asking, and their questions fall under the relevant forum categories. Plus, as I mentioned, your employer is likely to have a facebook and/or LinkedIn page as well as an employee handbook to help new employees with relocation.
By the way, if you're asking about housing options, trying to set up accommodation while outside the country is pointless. However, you can easily check out apartment/villa rental rates for Abu Dhabi on Dubizzle to get an idea where and what your housing allowance can get you. |
