I think the difference between the wordings on Z and F is irrelevant in terms of teaching. The difference in law would be whether you received any fees for the teaching/educating/training/tutoring/mentoring/consulting etc. Under an F visa that's a no-no.

Trying to make sense of Chinese laws and regulations and the actual enforcement of them is an absolutely mind-boggling task.

I'm actually a "employee" of her....we (me and my girlfriend) got trapped by this snake in the grass or what i like to call her grease monkey.... i can speak for 6 teachers in china right now who are all stuck in a contract with her and have all read this message and we all agree DO NOT WORK FOR HER!!!!! when me and my girlfriend first arrived we were dumped into a 3 bedroom hostel with 7 people living there, would not help us with our surroundings and tried multiple times to take money off our check so she would not have to pay our rent., even though it is in our contract. Her English is poor at best and she tries to use this to her advantage... If you do happen to get a job offer with Sophia DO NOT TAKE IT!!!!! lets expose the snake in the grass for who she really is, a person who is out to make money of the mistreatment of teachers!

This is the supposed boss of my boyfriend's recruiter. I believe they're transitioning from Oden to Good Teachers Union (which the website is not up yet and the date keeps getting changed) but the address he's been sending paperwork to goes to a company called that.

It is difficult to understand why so many people can't get it in their heads that there are laws and requirements for gaining entry and work in China.

This post is a Golden Oldie, I know, but this is my favorite line from the OP's second post:

I disagree.

It looks like the OP knew full well what he was doing. The Chinese government doesn't deserve to be ripped off because some yoyo thinks he's above the law.

I agree it's a two way street. The person who wants to go should do their job to respect the law and the person helping them in China too.
