For those with a Masters Degree and Middle Eastern University Experience, which are the best places to teach in Qatar?
Important points to consider would naturally include:
pay
workload
paperwork
administration
ease of life
It would be appreciated if responses could include the meaning of abbreviations used in the reply. |

A master's degree in _____? And with how many years of relevant experience?
Regardless, there's Community College of Qatar, Qatar University, and Academic Bridge Program (Qatar Foundation). CCQ and QU do the brunt of their recruiting at TESOL Arabia. |

With a relevant MA and ME experience you could try one of the overseas campuses in Qatar which occasionally recruit a few choice staff.
Weiil Cornell Medical College
Carnegie Mellon University
Northwestern University
Texas A and M University
Virginia Commonwealth University
University of Calgary |

Don't expect the typical foundation program at those universities, although they're likely to staff a writing center and possibly hire adjuncts for English tutoring and small classes. They partner with Qatar Foundation, which has an Academic Bridge Program (http://www.abp.edu.qa/gateway-to-university) that prepares students for academic studies in English at universities in Qatar. |
