I was curious, what are the laws on foriegners and driving the scooters in vietnam? ie saigon and Da nang specifically
any special license required? will the cops harrass me or do it just to get a few dollars? |

Good question, I'm curious about the same thing so I hope someone will reply with info.
When I was in both Korea and Thailand an International Driver's Licence was all I needed to get insurance and drive a car and a scooter. I got an Int'l Driver's Licence before I left Canada and it cost me $90.
Am I correct in assuming that Vietnam will accept an International Driver's Licence as well??? |

i have an international license too, but I dont recall vietnam being on that list i'll have to check again later. where in canada are you from? it costed you $90? costed me $15 for one year. but that was taiwan only. |

I got mine through the CAA in Kitchener. It doens't expire and it's valid (almost) everywhere. From what I remember it was around $90. |
