I am aware that there are MANY Brazilians who work in Japan, but they are mostly factory workers. Is there any chance that they can work as English teachers for example teaching little kids? I have a student who is relatively fluent (at least advanced level) who would have no problems teaching children. She already has experience teaching English to kids in Brazil. Does anyone know if Japan has any policies with not hiring Brazilian passport holders for English teaching?
It would seem that she would probably need either a TOEFL or IELTS score to prove their language proficiency at least...
Thanks in advance! |

As with your Indian student, this is the second non-native speaker you've posted on behalf of. Frankly, if they're genuinely interested in teaching EFL, they really should take the initiative and post their own questions on these forums rather than rely on you as a third party. Otherwise, we receive limited info because we're not able to have a dialog with them directly. |
