What are the chances of working in the UAE if I have a BA and a CELTA with 6 years experience 3 of which are in the Middle East?
Seem like they all wants Masters or PGCE. |

That's the reality. If you were already in country under your spouse's visa, it wouldn't be too difficult to get work at a language school as a local hire. However, the salary would be mediocre and the benefits sparse. |

By "local school," do you mean a public school or private, international school? If the former, try Adveti or ADEC. For international schools, check out recruitment sites like Seek Teachers, Teach Away, and Footprints to see if you even meet the degree and teaching qualification requirements. There's also bayt.com and gulftalent.com. Ads that state "immediate hire" generally mean the position is for a local hire and not for applicants outside the UAE. |

In higher education, you might be able to adjunct, but you would have to be on a spouse's visa and, as already stated, the pay would be a pittance and there would be no benefits.
Yes, there are folks who are working in higher education who only have a BA, but these folks are not recent hires. For quite some time "they all wants Masters or PGCE". |

Depends on which Emirate you work and your education. In Abu Dhabi you must have an education degree and/or license from your country. In Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah a bachelors degree (if you are from a Western country), Masters degree if you are from other countries (because the Ministry of Higher Education will count the bachelors as a diploma upon equivalency).
You definitely will need experience if you don't have it. Have you worked in a Middle Eastern country? This makes a difference because students here are far different to deal with than most other places, especially the West. |

The requirements for the oil companies aren't as rigorous. |

I'm familiar with PI. In fact, one of my friends is in that photo. However, Dragonpiwo was referring specifically to those teaching jobs out in the oil fields, which is where he's located. I doubt he has female teaching colleagues, but I could be wrong. |

They seem to be doing most of the training in AD these days and a bunch of women run that place. |
