Yep. Anyway, the OP is waiting for his/her visa and will see soon enough what kind of food is available in KSA.

For authentic Chinese and Korean food, I found the illegal restaurants the best. Sometimes even alcohol is served and seating is generally mixed gender throughout. They can be found through the Chinese or other language internet apps.

The Saudis seem to think their "Kapsa" dish is unique and amazing, and that the concept of dried out chicken and greasy rice is an incredible contribution to civilization.

If you think Kapsa is bad, try Hariz. Boiled wheat flour with a couple of chicken bones in it for flavor. Tastes terrible and has awful "mouth feel". Not available in restaurants, must be home cooked.

A student proudly brought it a big pot and the whole class stood around sticking their fingers in it and slurping it down. Disgusting!
