|
|
Hi guys and girls,
Hoping someone can help me out with a visa question. I am here on a 3 month work visit visa. The visa sticker in the passport is dated July 23rd, 2015. I arrived a week or so later accordingly the KSA immigration stamp shows a landing date of July 31st. Quite simply, does my 90 days expire counting from the 23rd (on the visa stamp) or the 31st? (the entry to immigration stamp)
Any help would be greatly appreciated as there has been discrepant info being passed around. |

Thanks Nomad....my employer is insisting that it is the date landed at immigration...sigh. Seems I still can't get a straight one on this. Anyone else care to add their expertise/experience. I believe the sponsor company can be levied a fine but how about the individual....are we immune if we over stay? Thanks again all. |

Like all visas, the visa countdown starts when arrive. You have 90 days from the date the visa is stamped upon arrival. With Saudi visas, the visa stamp is valid for only 90 days from the date of issuance which is different from the 90 day date given from the issuance of the entrance stamp given at the airport. |

My understanding is from the date of issuance, but I could be wrong. Take a look at this info on entry visas. I believe it also includes the link for checking your visa details online.
You're not immune. Just make sure the sponsor processes your new visit visa way in advance of the expiration date, which should be within the next week.
Why are you on a business visit visa? |

Thanks to you both for your info. 90% of the staff at our organization are on work visit visas as there is a set amount of iqama's provided to the company as I understand. Works fine for me, eligible to work on a work visit visa unlike a business visa. Just means semi-frequent visa runs back home which is paid. I will take a look at the link that was suggested. I have been pm'd confirming the same info as plumpy was gracious to provide so will go with that as visa validity from personal experience teaching in various different countries has shown the clock to start upon arrival. Thanks again. |
