|
|
I'm applying for jobs right now through recruiters and 90% of them are Private Training Schools. From what I've seen these are my best options for getting a job within the next couple months since university terms and public school terms already started. And I don't plan on hanging around in America until January for the new public school term to start.
My question is, if I take a Private Training School position (i.e. Abie, Best Learning, Web international) and work there for a year or 2, will that count as accredited teaching experience and can be used to prove my candidacy elsewhere like a Public School or University? |

I can't speak for China, but here in Thailand the Language schools are magnets for those without degrees, as the noose is tightening in the public schools on the degree requirement. Teaching is teaching...church camp, prison, or elsewhere. Even if it was in a Chinese public school; you wouldn't get credit for it in the US, as far as the step ladder. Private schools would have more flexibility, though. |

Oh, ok great. Thanks!
Also, will Public Schools or Universities in South Korea, Japan, Italy or Germany recognize this as official teaching experience? Or is it exclusive to China?
I read somewhere recently that for Universities and Public Schools in South Korea they require teaching experience from other accredited public schools and universities. Could anyone correct me on this matter with differing facts or add to my initial research? |

You might take a look at "European Classrooms vs. Asian Classrooms" on the general Europe forum.

FYI: Discussions about Korea aren't allowed on these forums: http://forums.eslcafe.com/job/viewtopic.php?t=82496 |
