What diseases other than HIV, Hep and Tub will cause a TEFLer's visa request to be rejected? Anybody know any info on this? |

I know teachers who have had their high blood pressure exclude them even though it was controlled by medication.

On a related note, again, take a look at "KSA to hire medically-fit expats only" from early 2015. You can look up chronic diseases on the Internet for a list of specific ailments.
As stated in the sticky thread, the Saudi medical form indicates what gets tested, aside from other issues the doc may notice during the physical exam. But given that you've created a thread dedicated to this topic, what specific diseases and/or medical conditions are you worried about? |

I would estimate that 90+% of Americans, if not all Westerners carry this virus... since it includes anyone who has had Chicken Pox or a cold sore.

Are you saying my visa request would not get rejected if that came up on a blood test? And what about the Iqama medical? |

No one can predict the outcome of your physical exam and lab test results as well as the consultation with your examining physician. Your best bet is to hope others with HSV will respond with their recent experiences with the visa application process. I also suggest you post your question on a few of the other Saudi expat sites on the Net in order to hit a wider group of readers. |

Do they even have a blood test for HSV? And if so, is it required on the Saudi medical form? Personally I have never heard of such a test.

There are tests for HSV. And no, it's not indicated on the med form. However, based on the physical exam and/or other indicators on the requisite lab results, the doctor may order additional lab tests if he/she suspects other potential health issues and diseases. |

I've been posting on other sites but no one is as active as the individuals on this website. If anyone knows of other Saudi Arabia forums where I can post, I'd really appreciate the info.
Also what if I contacted a visa medical agency? Do you think they would have/give me the answers?
Thanks for all the replies peeps! |

Done it!
There are some websites that haven't had any posts for years so my audience is limited... |

Your audience is limited anyway since you especially want to hear from others with HSV who recently went through the work/employment visa process. Just don't ask for an inventory of diseases that potentially get a visa rejected (like you did here); that question is too broad. |

I see your point...
But having an inventory of diseases that could cause a visa rejection would still be useful for anyone that is interested in going to SA... |
