Hi
Does anyone know the going rate if someone has a phd in applied linguistics?
Alot of my friends are saying that one can make 20-25 thousand SAR per month. But honestly I feel that having a phd makes one overqualified.
Any thoughts? |
Either do a Ph.D. in a meaningful, productive discipline (e.g. biotechnology) or don't do it at all.
A "doctorate" in Applied Linguistics is an unfunny joke and an insult to real scholars, academics, and achievers. |

And some physicians think that calling anyone but a medical doctor a doctor is an insult.
"The correct address of a person who obtains their PhD is “Mr., Ms., Mrs., etc”. ONLY an MD is a Doctor and only an MD should be addressed socially as “Doctor”. It is not insulting to someone who has a PhD to leave their honorific title off when introducing him or her since the “D” in Ph.D. stands for “Doctorate” not “Doctor”.
Guess it depends on how high up the self-inflated snob ladder you are.

You're skeptical, and it is hard to envision, I'll grant you that. It is true though.
Paving on the Aramco "camp" is regular tarmac though. |

| I see Plumpy is still expressing his Sour Grapes because KSA did not like his Correspondence Course in Applied EFLology. |
