Hello all,

So, I recently got an offer from MIL and am very excited about it. However, I was just wondering if anyone has any personal experiences with them or maybe knows someone who has. I found some good experiences written in the forums here and it's also on Dave's Green List. However, the experiences written here in the forums are from 5+ years ago. Just looking for any tips or recent stories.

Thanks

Never heard of them, I'd like to hear what people have to say about it.
Randerson, how was the application process like? Easy? Hard? Skype interview? or?

A dojo mate worked for MIL Fr many years in the Chiba City area. He said the compensation was fair, and his working conditions were good. He also said he had freedom to choose materials and lesson planning. He taught EFL for children and adults, and also helped so-called returnee children maintain their literacy and spea Kings skills.

Some years ago, I spoke to managers there. I got a good feeling from them.

Best of luck with getting recruiting process, however it works out for you.

I know that there are multiple locations and that you are very unlikely to have two consecutive days off to start.

That's the Margaret School. I know someone (Japanese) who used to work as a receptionist there. She seemed happy enough with it. I haven't read or heard any dirt on them, they've been around for years and they've been advertising for instructors at regular intervals for years too. That all points towards it being a stable, regular operation and a decent enough place to work.

I think these smaller, localized eikaiwas tend to be better, nicer places to work on average. As opposed to the big, money-fleecing, exploitative criminal rackets like Nova, Gaba, Aeon, Shane etc.

Hi Jesso,

The interview process was amazing. It was over Skype. There were two and the first one was more informational. The second one included questions about teaching and different scenarios. It wasn't super hard but also wasn't easy breezy. I really enjoyed the interview process and my recruiter was very nice and had lots of information. He also responds very quickly to emails. I did get the job and am in the process of getting a visa. I'll keep everyone up to date on my experience. I keep hearing wonderful things about the school and am very excited to start my journey with MIL The Language Center. So far, the experience has been amazing! Wish me luck everyone!
