The figures are dizzying: Air Force Major General FAINTS in the middle of a press briefing about $120bn F-35 fighter program


US Air Force General James Martin Jr, 52, was talking about future of F-35 program when he passed out.
Aides rushed to official's side, offered him water and brought in a chair
His subordinate took over the briefing, joking with reporters: 'That's what the F-35 would do to ya'
It later emerged Martin was suffering from the flu or a cold
He was taken to a hospital as a precaution and returned to work Wednesday

He was lucky that he was not piloting an F-35, he would have plunged it vertically in the Pentagon!?

Considering what a boondoggle the F-35 has been, I can only hope the general was damning it with faint praise.

Complete waste of people's money. The jet sucks, thus the general's mind could not reconcile lofty words and reality. Lockheed Martin is still making a good amount of money off of the people though, why they have not faced the wrath of the government is incomprehensible.
