Hi all,
I'm considering an offer from PRINCE MOHAMMAD BIN FAHD UNIVERSITY in Al Khobar and would appreciate any shared experiences etc. Many thanks. |

There are threads here. Try a search. Prince Mohammed bin Fahd U was set up as a private university. Lots of rich kids. |

Thanks Scott, Nomad Soul. The threads date back to 2003, the most recent, May 2014. I am wondering if anyone would be willing to share more recent experiences, please? |

I received an email from them the other day saying I;ve been shortlisted and they will be in contact soon. Anyone know how much they pay? I guess you get free housing with them don't you? |

According to their ad, housing, airfare, and med insurance are included. Salaries for direct-hire positions are generally based on the applicant's degree, years of experience, etc. You won't know that number until they extend an offer.
I can't comment on what it's like to work at PMU, but Working @ PMU should yield some useful info. |

You will be teaching poor little rich kids. The female students are more serious than those on the male side. PMU was established to allow dullards from rich families to go to university. |

I thought someone said PMU had their own housing for teachers. Surely this must be free then. A housing allowance is given when you have to get your own place I think. |

I do not know what happens as of March 2016. In the past PMU rented compounds in Khobar for teachers. Transport was provided to the campus, which is some distance out of town.
By this time they may have completed accommodation facilities on campus. |

I was asked to interview with them in Miami while I was in Jeddah. I said, I am a one hour flight away and further, I cant get the time off to go to Miami. They said, we will pay the 500$ for the flight....
I never went. One good thing about the place is it is next to Bahrain. |

So housing is included in the contract. Someone said they rented compunds/villas in Al Khobar. Does this mean they take the rent out of your income then? |
