I've got a bit of dilemma and need some ideas.

The short version of the story is that I recently signed a lease with a business and in the course of things some of the communication got scrambled. The contract isn't unclear but the communication around it is.

I need to find someone to go with me to clarify some very basic things but also someone who's smart enough to not give away something unwittingly. It might be necessary to diplomatically offer a reconsideration of the contract if the landlord is insistent on something not in the contract.

Basically, a smart translator who can diplomatically keep my interests in the conversation.

Any ideas?

Wouldn't it be easier to just bail out and find a new place?
