Sethis job perks sound to me like just exactly what the Anglo American School was offering in Moscow. Exactly.
The Anglo American School was begun as a combined collaboration of the US embassy/Canada/UK to educate their diplobrats. Probably the best expat teaching job in all of Russia.
And certainly not a language school. |

Hey guys,
Sorry, because I'm just taking my first steps into TEFL then I wasn't aware there was such a huge difference between language schools and "normal" schools, or that one was more desirable than the other.
This is for a Middle School, newly set up, government funded. That's about all I can say without it being incredibly obvious which one it is, which may cause more competition for me! They're certainly not advertising on any major websites.
It's been a while since the interview, so I'm not incredibly hopeful - I would have had to have been very lucky indeed to land such a gig on my first time out, but it is always nice to have dreams! |

| I once did a few lessons at a private school for a firm I was working with in Moscow....although the building was of better standard than at most govt. schools everything else about the place was a nightmare! The staff were unhelpful to me, to say the least and the kids were vile!!Twelve and thirteen year old girls boasting about their overseas holidays and boyfriends for example, who they alleged could get them 'anything they wanted, including class 'A' drugs!!...say no more! |
