| well Ive decided I want to go to Mexico to get my certification. It seems that CELTA seems to be the top reccomendation on this board. However, I really would rather live in Guadalajara and go to the ITTO school. Is CELTA really that much better than ITTO? I just want a good school in a place I want to be, and be able to easily find a decent job in mexico or latin america after that. Any comments? Recommendations? Thanks in advance, Lars |

| If it were my decision, I wouldn't put location (Playa del Carmen or Guadalajara) as the top priority in choosing. Unless you're set on finding a job in Guadalajara, which you seem to be leaning towards as a course location, you'd only be in either city for about 4 weeks taking the course. I don't think a person can really "live" in a city for only 4 weeks, but that's just my opinion. Some other things I'd consider more important would be cost and quality of the course, its reputation, how widely it's recognized by employers, and type of job placement assistance it provides. |
