Are there any people who are on business visas in KSA at the moment?
If so can you tell me who the employer is please or PM me as I don't know about paying upfront for a work visa in case it's declined. |

They're not your employer if you get a biz visit visa. And given you have a diploma in piano performance and not a bona fide BA, you won't qualify for a proper employment visa anywhere in the GCC anyway.
Instead of wasting your (and others') time on this forum, take one of those other pending offers you've been posting about on the Turkey, China, and wherever else forums. |

The question wasn't about work visas it's about who is offering business visas.
The embassy told me in London that it's up to the employer if they accept my diploma (degree pass status). So, that means I should be able to get a proper work visa. why do you believe differently to the embassy? |

and as regard not getting a visa for any of the GCC you are wrong again. I already worked in the UAE and for a UAE visa, you travel to the UAE first and enter on a tourist/business visa which then gets converted into a work visa via going to Bahrain. That's what I did. The UAE embassy told me they DON'T PROCESS work visas. So where do people get their work visas from then if they don't process the at the UAE embassy in London? Plus I worked in Oman for a while and just turned up at the airport in Oman. |

plus what if I want to get a job at a SA or UAE or Omani school? I have a PGCE and a proper teacher's licence for the UK. Are you telling me they won't accept these qualifications? They ask for PGCEs. |

No they do not have any online or distance learning. I have a graduate diploma and one employer in Saudi is happy to employ me or offer me a job.
Nomad Soul seems to think I won't be able to get a proper work visa. The embassy in London said to get an employer to accept the degree/diploma. They said it's not up to them. So doe that mean I can get a work visa with an equivalent degree (as stated in the transcript)? |

It's in Piano performance (4 years full time). Again, the visa must have a qualification for the job applied for. Does this mean I can only get music teacher jobs in SA (with my PGCE as well) or can I get a work visa because I also have a TEFLA? The employer said the work visa would go on the TEFLA. |

Anyway, just in case there is a problem with a work visa, the thread asks which companies are offering business visas? Anyone know any? |

I've just received an email from [email protected] (Saudi embassy in berlin) and they say " dear sir, that depends on your employer"
Can you read Nomad Soul? It says employer. |

I'm not 100% up on this (but I am learning). With your degree plus PGCE (assumimng QTS), you should easily get a visa. As for business visas, I would avoid them if you can and get a work visa. B visas will not allow bank accounts etc. If I was in your situation, i would be applying to top end international schools directly to try and use your degree for its real purpose. Anyway.... good luck in your search |

mrpianoman is searching, all right. Italy, China, UAE, Saudi, Korea, Turkey, Germany, USA, ....and all since April 9 of this year!
In the same time period, he held a job at a Berlitz in Italy for 3 weeks before getting canned (see the Italy forum).
VERY active 'job searcher' ...needs good luck indeed (but don't waste too much of your time helping him out as it's clearly more about making conversation than actually finding and keeping a job). |

This is getting ridiculous with the multiple posts in different forums about working illegally. I don't think a degree in Piano will get his foot in the door.
Just get a CELTA or a BA in Education. |

Gee this is getting ridiculous isn't it. A BA in education is a B.Ed and is most usually used for primary education in the UK. A degree (or equivalent) qualification PLUS a PGCE is for secondary education in the UK. I have the latter. I therefore think I would be recognised in Saudi and UAE schools for music teaching positions, esp as some of the schools follow the UK curriculum there. Thanks. |

ps, There are job adverts asking specifically for PGCEs for Saudi and UAE schools and/or QTS and I have had QTS in the UK since 1996. Thanks again! PS I have a CELTA too (well it used to be called a cert TEFLA which is what I have) |
