hi everyone,
what happens if you accept one direct hire position in KSA, then a better one comes along? if you then accept the second one, what happens? can you merely inform the first that you are no longer interested (whether before or after the visa batch has been issued)? |

You'll have to figure this one out on your own since we don't know the specifics. No one can predict how an employer may react to a job candidate's change of mind --- if there would be any issues.
Regardless, what makes the second offer better? How far along are you in getting a visa for the first employer? |

| You have to make sure the employer offering the better job that you have selected doesn't know about the other job offer that you rejected. If both companies send you offers it's unlikely they are in any way connected and will know about what's going on. |

Per the OP, this is about two direct-hire opportunities --- no contracting companies involved. |

| If I sign a contract then I will go with that for at least a year. If the first employer has put you forward for a visa then it could be problematic and you may end up with no job. |

The second job offers 3,000 SAR more for the same work.
I havent gotten my visa letter (is that what it's called?) yet. Actually, I haven't even signed the preliminary acceptance letter. |

Then you haven't accepted the first offer. If you want to go with the second university, send the first one a polite email declining their offer.
Keep in mind university direct-hire salaries are usually calculated based on verified employment letters/certificates. The pay indicated on your preliminary offer letter may or may not reflect that experience. |

I was comtemplating two job offers, but I've made my mind up now. But for future reference it seems it's best not to actually accept any offers until you are certain you want to go ahead with it.
As long as you havn't started the visa process you should be safe to decline in a kindly worded email |

I guess some teachers might want to accept one offer out of fear that if one waits too long, the offer might be withdrawn. Odd that no deadline is mentioned for accepting or declining the preliminary offer.
Does anyone have experience with this? Has an offer been withdrawn simply for not replying in a timely manner? |
