Hi there

I obtained my 120 hrs tefl certificate , no teaching experience, 42 years old and looking for a short term contract ( 3 month) within the main cities of Vietnam, is anyone able to recommend any language school links that would be best place to start?

Thanks

No (Decent) language school would take a teacher with the intention of them working only three months. Of course you can always work part-time then quit halfway.

Actually, many schools need additional teachers during the summer (NOW) which lasts about 3 months (June - August) starting NOW.

You can search for "teaching jobs vietnam" on the internet and find some websites with job ads, get in touch with some schools, then come and check things out in person. Schools are quite happy to provide information about themselves and their personnel needs through correspondence with prospective teachers via e-mail, skype or other messaging services.

This site has a jobs list with some ads from VN:

A 3 month contract will probably only work at the shady mom and pops schools with low hourly pay.

I also wouldn't recommend signing a 9 month contract with the plan to quit after 3 months, as there are many laws regarding taxes that would make you end up paying large fees, and many schools have clauses that if you quit within your first 3 months you don't receive a full salary or have to pay back a replacement fee.
