|

I'm helping out a friend who's considering applying for work in KSA. She went o a small uni in the USA that had two campuses, A and B. She studied at Campus B for the first two years. At that point, the university closed Campus B, and all students had to transfer to Campus A.
She completed her final two years at Campus A and graduated with a BA. However, on her degree certificate, for whatever reason, the university decided to still put "XYZ University, Campus B." So officially it comes from a campus that is now closed. The main university is on the recommended universities list from the Saudi MOHE.
So the question is: will she have any hope of getting her degree approved by SACM and therefore getting a visa to work in KSA? Obviously, she doesn't really want to go through the effort of applying and so on if she can't get a visa in the end.
Any comments or experiences relevant would be most appreciated. |

I would assume that say... she needed a new graduation certificate... the current main university would be the one to supply it. If that university will provide the Saudi authorities with required documentation, the fact that an old campus was closed shouldn't matter.
The only way to find out for sure is for her to apply and see...

Ditto that. The SACM focuses on the university and not its various satellite campuses. There shouldn't be any issue as long as the person is in the university's system. Anyway, the friend should direct her questions to the registrar if she has any concerns about the former campus name appearing on her diploma. |
