Quiet, and you can always find a place to park.
Not if you're into the pub scene.
Good place to take up SCUBA.
Compared to Dubai and Abu D., a place where you can find decent, affordable housing.
Students may be a more motivated. When I taught for the military in Abu D., the students from the northern Emirates were less arrogant and due to their lower economic circumstances, saw education as a path to a better life.
IMHO, a good place to be.
