I know that it's a Dutch company which employs teachers on business visas. I was sent an offer letter some time ago which I signed and returned, then a contract, also signed and returned but heard nothing else for the last 3 months.
These are the other things I've been able to find out abut them and some questions I have:
1.You have to pay rent for the apartment if you don't want to share.
2. Apartment comes with the usual basics except for a couch which I was told you have to buy yourself.
3. . Every so often (?) you have to return to your country or to nearby Bahrain to renew the business visa. The company pay the costs. Does the frequency of renewal depend on which country you are from or is there a set time to renew, e.g every 3 months?
4. What are the general working conditions like?
5. You don't get full pay during the summer vacation except for a small proportion of your salary.
6. How long does it normally take for them to sort out the business visa and why do they use business visas instead fo work visas? Is it due to cost or another reason?
If anyone can share some info and their experience of working for CINOP I'd appreciate it.

Gee, Wolfsong....I know of Bangladeshi laborers working at my location in KSA that have better contracts than the one you're describing.
Your contract appears to be a perfect example of what I have been talking about lately....the utter contempt that employers in KSA really have for their ESL teachers. Your contract is not only deplorable, it's downright insulting in my opinion. |

| If they haven't contacted you in 3 months then most likely your offer mysteriously dried up, which is not unusual for offers from the Middle East. Potential teachers to the Mideast should size this stuff up, 3 months of being messed with and no salary. That in addition to bizarre visa costs and visa waits, and problems with the SACM. China pays less, but the average teacher is likely to make more in China in the end. |

I can work out whether it's a good contract or not for myself. But do you know anything about the company though? |

I'm assuming the no salary doesn't apply to the company I'm asking about, apart from what I mentioned. I applied for three jobs in China only to find that none paid full salary during the vacation. One even only paid around $50 a month during the longer winter vacation.. So it's not only the ME that does this. |

I'm not known for my facetiousness. This deal seemed to be an obvious "thumbs-down" based solely the choice of either shared accommodations or paying for an apartment and having to buy a major piece of furniture. This company is being uber cheap. Throw in the business visit visas, which means you have zero recourse if the company decides to screw you over.
Hopefully those other job offers are much better than this one. |

Apparently the apartments are supposed to be top notch but I'd settle for something less swish and rent-free. The pay is pretty good compared to some others but take out the rent + hassle of having to renew the business visa every so often (?), even though they pay for them, and the other offers come out best. |
