Does anyone know what company/bank etc. I can use to wire money home that will be received in the same day? I'm not registered with Lloyds so I don't have time for that; not sure it would arrive in a day with them anyway. If anyone can help...please?!? |

That's tough.
Western Union is probably fastest. You can 90% likely send money the same way that way... I dunno if they operate in Japan. Plus, they are expensive.
Otherwise, any other method will NOT be the same day. If you have a credit card and Paypal account -- I've sent money before that way -- and it's fairly quick.... But never the same day.
Also, a JPN bank will do it, but again, it takes a few days and they will charge you upwards of 7000 yen to do it (plus wiring charges from the receiving bank).
You could courrier cash, but that won't arrive till the next day.
Good luck. |

Thanks for the quick response, Jim. Obviously I found another way to do what I needed, but I was wondering for the future, what courier companies will courier to North America? The next day is pretty good. I had a thought, though don't know if it would work. If it's possible to use interact at a post office machine, couldn't I just put money directly in an account and they could take it out on the other end? Anyone ever tried this? |

Never tried that, but if you do ever register with Lloyd's, my money has always been deposited in my US account the same day - sometimes only 2 or 3 hours later. |
