Thanks very much |

Instead of having others guess what your budget is as well as which countries you'd prefer to study in, start by doing a Net search for a list of countries with a low cost of living and choose 4-5 that meet your criteria. Then go to Cambridge ESOL's Find a teaching qualification centre to see if there are any Delta providers in your desired countries. |

Thanks Nomad Soul, always grateful for your contribution, actually I have already done that, I just wanted to get some broader answers before narrowing it down. Sometimes the people on this site can hit you with some great answers out of left field.
Actually, my budget isn't limited, but cheaper is always better. Seems like SE Asia, Brazil and Turkey are the cheapest at about 5000kuai per module. But hard to know the quality. Keen to hear about others' experiences, wherever they might be.
Cheers |

What are your specific questions in terms of quality? In other words, the quality of what?
The Delta is standardized; the curriculum is the same regardless of where you take the modules --- whether at Jim Bob's TESOL Shack or the Hoity Toity Language Institute. The only main differences are the tutors, who come and go, and any additional services offered by the facility/course provider.
Anyway, there's a recent thread: Delta Module 3. You might also post your Delta questions on your target countries' forums. |

I have been looking into this question myself. Nomad Soul is right methinks.
All the training schools are validated by Cambridge ESOL who are interested in protecting the brand. So there is not much in it when it comes to quality or price. Of course it is cheaper to eat and sleep in Istanbul than London. Where there may be some minor difference is in how many weeks tuition or contact hours or whatnot that you get depending on whether you are taking all three modules or just one or two.
I've yet to come across anyone wailing about what a dreadful experience they had in X school in Y country.
Having not yet taken module 2 I can't comment on a particular school, but this is my impression. |

But that seems to be what the OP is after, info about the tutors - "Anyone recently done a course at a place where the trainers seemed above average, as strictly average, or indeed sometimes possibly slightly below average trainers, may make an average course begin to dip below average". Not of course that most courses aren't as has already been pointed out anything less than the golden standard average.
Hope you get the bang for your buck that you're after, Blingcosta.

I think from what I saw the price is almost the same, one big difference of course is where you do it.
If you did it in London or NYC the cost of living there would probably be more than paying for flights + living locally in somewhere like S America.
Doing the DELTA therefore could be a chance to live in another country for [3?!?!] months and see a bit of it, although you'd be working your ass off for the DELTA |
